Principle of air dryer

Air dryer generally appears in the large bus or truck, because the brake of these vehicles need to use high-pressure air brake.

The main function of the air dryer is to dry the moisture in the high-pressure air to avoid the corrosion of the brake parts due to the water in the air. There is a heating rod in the drying tank, which is automatically controlled. Generally, when the temperature is lower than 5 ℃, the heating rod of the air dryer works to dry the moisture in the high-pressure air.

The influence of not installing air dryer on the vehicle

There is water in the pipeline, which causes the pipeline and air reservoir to rust; rust particles and impurities enter the brake valve with the brake gas and adhere to the valve, resulting in air leakage and premature failure; wet air corrodes the internal components of the brake valve, resulting in premature failure of the product assembly; it directly affects the braking performance of the vehicle, and there are many safety risks.

Noteworthy events: the drying cylinder on the air dryer should be replaced regularly to avoid poor drying effect; in principle, it is necessary to determine whether the drying cylinder needs to be replaced by checking whether the air receiver farthest from the dryer has accumulated water.
